My CF08 Story I: Overall…

*Yawn*

A good sleep after 2 days of ComicFiesta 2008 craze.

In this entry, I will simply summarize on what happen (to me) during the 2 day event. I will divide my CF stories into different parts. Other than this, I’m planning to do entries about gforum gath, cosplay and… some special post. ;D

CF08, Day 1 (20 Dec 2008)

CF started at 11am, but do you guys have any idea how early I had to wake up?? 6am!! Dammit… but for excitements sake… i did wake up and bathed early lol. Cos I had to follow Rurouni Oyaji, and he had to go to KL (for work) early. So…ikot je la… went to sleep along the way. Then dropped off at the Sunway Pyramid exit.

Aku lepak kat Starbucks kejap… konon nak dapat wireless tapi aku malas nak tanya password… then I realize I’m not sitting at Starbucks table but in the nieghbouring restaurant >///>. Then pindah ke meja yg sepatutnya…aku main Crisis Core kejap. My groupmate, Mie Onee-san arrived kat Convention Centre dah…tapi aku taktau kat mana. So aku tengok map… map… tak tulis pun…di mana… T_T

Tapi nasib baik time aku usha2 map tu, ada 2 org usha skali…then dengar diorang cakap, “I think it should be around here” while pointing at some Asian Avenue thingy. Somehow aku assume diorang nak pegi CF. Dari sudut pandangan aku, tengok muka dan beg diorang bawak.. “oh mesti nak gi CF ni”. Tapi aku tak ikot diorang dari belakang…nanti cam stalker pulak. LOL. Ego aku suruh aku cari tempat tu sendiri. Dah dapat klu, sendiri la usaha cari. Kalo jumpa tempat tu, bole la aku bangga dengan ‘my sense of direction’.

Kalo aku sesat…aku bole la tulis cerita kelakar. Masalahnya…sense of direction aku hebat sangat (batuk2) sampai aku jumpa Convention Centre without a problem. Ok la…aku rendah diri sikit. I almost went in circles looking for that place… ego says ALMOST. I think it’s just half-circle…agak jauh aku jalan. Later baru aku sedar dari entrance ke Convention Hall takyah lalu laluan half-circle tu >_>. But at least aku jumpa… tak tanya directions pun. Ego kata jangan XD

Sampai2 aku nak kena tolong kemas kat booth dulu…tapi Mie Onee-san kena bawak aku masuk sebab dia pegang tag ‘booth owner’. Nak tepon pon susah nak reach… aku dah mau naik angin dah… hilang mood T_T. Rupanye henfon dia mati… nasib baik sempat hidup kejap and take me in. Tolong2 kejap… tunggu booth decorator kitorang, Heera Onee-san. Dia lambat…haihh… dah start CF pun sempat decorate sikit2 je. Pastu jaga kejap… orang beli dan cari boss kita, Neo-sama. Masalahnya dia tak dapat hadir pada hari ini…

Aku tak tau kenapa aku moyok pagi tuh. Sampai Mie Onee-san tanya aku ok ke tak. Padahal takde pape pon O__o. Mungkin aku risau pasal… ‘sesuatu’… tapi tu bukan big deal sgt. Pastu aku teringat aku ada pre-order…satu doujinshi nih. Booth diorg kat blkg aku je. So aku pi booth diorang, tanye “who’s Harlequinn?” and lucky for me the person I’m talking to is Harlequinn. I introduced myself as VN, then said, “you know what I want right?”. Yeah of course she does, said she… then handed me the Chocolate Fantasy doujin. Final Fantasy stuff… and BL <3333. And THAT actually made my day!!!

Pastu aku mula jalan2 stalk cosplayer. Erm… amik gambar la. Tengah hari sikit aku tunggu member aku, Choco-tan and Mizakichi. Lambat lak diorang datang. Last2 sampai gak, bawak Ookami Senpai and his friends (Adi and…. uh…his name start with Z…). Had lunch with them… Ookami senpai is quite a friendly person despite of our first meet. Anyway… Ookami senpai (known as silentwolf) is actually a senior in my residential college… hence calling him ‘senpai’. sebelum ni tak pernah jumpa! Yay now i got source for anime stuff ^^. I MADE NEW SOCIAL LINK with [insert appropriate tarot card] ARCANA!

Sebelum kita pergi lunch… kitorg nampak Kadaj dengan Haruhi kat aras bawah…apparently tengah cari restoran. Kitorang pegi stalk dia lol! Pastu nampak sorang Arab ni nak ambik gambar anak dia dengan Kadaj! Pompuan tu pakai purdah pulak tuh @_@. Kesian Kadaj… and I also managed to take a stalker pic of him (sebab kalo nak amik gambo dia mesti tertutup muka dgn rambut >_> )

Oh ye aku beli other stuff like… Gekkoukan Private High School Badge… Gakupo Kamui badge. Fazuu and Gravys zines, and Destructorv1‘s “Dark Shade” Comic. Wahhh dia ingat aku lagi…masa dia datang booth dia nampak familiar… nasib baik aku ter-recall dia tu destructorv1. Penah jumpa last year…and he did publish his comic he had been posting in dA. Check out his dA to read his Dark Shade comic. memang lawak! He sorta perli the most common things found in anime/manga throughout the story… (making fun of Itachi, bishonens, cheezy dialogs lol!). Aku rekomen korang baca!

Oyea, bought more BL. Then introduced Choco-tan to Heera nee and Mie nee… cos ada kaitan dgn BL fandom *_*

Pastu…aku kena balik awal sebab Rurouni Oyaji came a bit too early than expected. Balik rumah, mandi, makan, main Persona 4 kukuku…

CF08, Day 2 (21 Dec 2008)

Hari ni bangun lambat sikit. Kul 7 lebey. Hari ni nak naik KTM lak. Bapak lama dok dlm KTM, dekat 2 jam travel. Mie and Heera datang pick me up kat Subang Jaya train station. Kali ni kita sampai lambat…boss kita apa lagi… lagi lambat. Siap boleh sesat. Apa aa korang ni XDXD. camne la bole sesat, aku tak sesat pun?? ;DDDD

Hari ni ada gath dengan budak2 gforum…aku ingat nak turun ke Starbucks, tapi nampaknya Reppu dan geng cam dah naik. Aku dah turun…urgh…dammit…peluh2 aku mencari… erm… aku hampir sesat. Tapi ego aku suruh calm down…aku bukan sesat, just tak ingat aras/susunan tempat ni je sebab tak biasa. Ah! Jumpa atm machine, kuarkan duit. Finally aku jumpe aras mana Starbucks, tapi kena naik balik sebab diorang dah naik. OK…balik ke booth…aku kena jaga jap. Takpe aa aku tunggu diorang kat situ je…

OH skip that part…sbb aku nak tulis post khas pasal gath…kejap lagi.

Summarize this day… aku sempat lukis dalam longest comic strip tu…. aku amik gambar cosplayers. SENGOKU BASARA, CODE GEASS is LOVE! Aku amik yg…hebat2 je lol. Oyes, beli T-shirt FF7 satu… commision lupa nak mintak…semalamnya dah mintak tp ada problem. ingat nak mintak hari Ahad tu, tapi gath punya pasal lupa segala benda. Bila teringat balik… rasanya dah terlambat. Aku gi booth diorang pon (sori tak ingat booth mana), macam…tah la…?

Pastu kemas2 pun dah lambat… ingat nak buat jamuan. Tapi oleh sebab dah lewat sangat aku mintak tolong hantar ke KTM Subang Jaya so that aku balik rumah awal. Sian mak aku, risau dia. And I’m glad I decided to came back early cos… hwehehe…

OK CF tahun ni lagi hebat. Cuma aku tak dapat nak enjoy tengok cosplay cam dulu sebab most of the time lepak dgn member dan kat booth area. Walopun booth dan stage dlm satu hall, segala kejadian kat stage kita takde idea apa berlaku. SO tu yang aku tak puas hati sikit…but later aku dapat tau tujuan buat gitu sebab some booth owners penah complain stage events menganggu proses jual beli. Ok, bole terima alasan tu. Tapi aku sendiri tak brapa puas ati sbb taktau apa yg berlaku XD. Nasib baik sempat tengok AMV Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann kat depan, with Donny Osmond’s “Be a Man” song (OST from Mulan).

Dari segi booth lak…walopun meja kecik, tapi panjang…muat untuk letak barang2. Tak muat untuk buat commissions maybe… or maybe our deco agak excessive..? Anyhow…space antara doujin booth depan belakang sangat luas, sampai leh baring2! Ok, maybe not like that… tapi cukup luas untuk letak our junks about on the floor. More freedom in movement… takde la sampai terlanggar orang yg dok belakang kita. Dewan pun agak luas… carpet cantik~. Air conditioning pun ok… org lain sejuk, tapi aku tak rasa sejuk… O__o. Now that’s weird… kalo tak aku je yang sensitif sejuk.

Cosplayers are getting better and better. Booths numbers are increasing. Dunno why our boss rasa cam dah bosan lak… but he likes to kid around i dunno what he’s thinking @_@. Best tak best, I’m looking forward for next year’s CF.

ComicFiesta is the biggest anime, manga and video games event in Malaysia. What I love about it is that the ‘otaku’s in Malaysia ramai2 kumpul in one hall to enjoy and share something we share in common…which is something I barely feel when I am in the Univeristy (but i got Ookami Senpai now!).

Ok next post…maybe about the gath…or cosplay.
